Protection From Sexual Violence and Intimidation

NPLS generally provides assistance with Protection from Sexual Violence and Intimidation Hearings and works with local domestic violence agencies to coordinate services for victims and their families. Many local domestic violence agencies offer services such as temporary shelter/emergency housing and counseling.

The Protection From Sexual Violence and Intimidation (PSVI) Act applies to adults and minors  who are victims of sexual violence, harassment, stalking, and intimidation when the abuser is not a member of their family or household.

Eligibility Requirements

NPLS offers representation for those who cannot afford it.

In order to qualify for free legal services, your household income must meet requirements based on the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.

Available services vary by county.
