NPLS CLE - Human Trafficking Victim Advocacy
Human Trafficking Victim Advocacy
Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 1:00 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
1 Substantive PA CLE Credit
This free distance-learning CLE is presented by North Penn Legal Services.
NPLS staff communicate with thousands of applicants each year, many of whom are in crisis and coping with poverty, housing instability or homelessness, or domestic violence or other trauma. Human traffickers take advantage of people who are vulnerable, and we should have a basic working knowledge of how a trafficking victim might present to us. Unfortunately, the public perception of human trafficking is often very different from the reality. This training will provide an overview of human trafficking and what it may actually look like, its occurrence in our area, indications that someone may be a victim, and resources that can provide help.
